   A labama Civil Right Memorial is a memorial for those who died during the struggle for the right to equality during the Civil Rights Movement.It was framed by the momentous Brown v. Board decision in 1954 and the killing of Dr. Martin Luther King in 1968. The memorial is within walking distance of other historic sites including the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, the state of Alabama State Capitol, the Alabama Department of Archives and History and the Rosa Parks Library and Museum.
